From the very start, we are here to cheer you on through your entire course of orthodontic treatment. Our priority is you, giving you a healthy smile that leaves you feeling better and more confident than ever before.
We know that putting your smile into our hands is a big deal; because of this, we make every effort to give you an experience that is comfortable, flexible, and totally worth it. Since we use the latest in orthodontic technology, we are able to provide safe, gentle, and effective options that are tailored specifically to you and your smile.

First Things First: The Consultation
Now that you know we are here to take care of you, let's discuss what you will expect on your first visit.
Your first appointment is a consultation, where we offer a free, complete exam to identify your orthodontic needs. This consultation gives you the chance to meet us, ask questions, and let us learn more about you and your wishes as we move forward.
During the consultation, which lasts about an hour, we will do the following:
- Review your dental and medical history forms
- Perform an oral exam, which includes x-rays
- Create a path for treatment, personalized just for you
- Discuss the length of time and cost we can expect for your treatment

Let's Get Started
Now that you are a patient, there are a few things you need to know about your upcoming appointments.
You will visit our office every four to eight weeks, based on times that are most convenient for you. Our office is happy to work with you to find the best time to visit.
Sawgrass Orthodontics is open 9AM-5PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and we are open 10AM-7PM on Wednesday.
While we do need you to come in for appointments, we understand that things get busy! When life gets in the way, please give us a call to let us know you are running late, or to reschedule your appointment.
Oh, One More Thing
While we will be checking in on your smile to track your progress, that is not where the care for your smile ends. Please keep visiting your dentist, too!
You must visit your dentist once every six months for routine checkups and cleanings. Especially if you have a new orthodontic appliance, such as metal braces or a retainer, it can be a little more difficult to clean your teeth fully.
By keeping up with your dental cleanings and scheduling your orthodontic appointments with us, your new smile will be healthy and happy.
